Mercenaries 2 World In Flames Patch English
So I have Mercenaries 2 on both PC and PS3. Even with all it's bugs it's still a lot of shameless fun.My issue is that neither I nor my mate can join games on the PS3? Can't join each other's or any random other user.We do have second hand copies, and we fixed the connecting to EA server glitch, but still unable to connect to coop play is a bit of a buster for us.What's going on? Is there a fix?
I'm really annoyed as I got my mate to buy the game especially so we could play together.Would love a quick response,Cheers,Dave. Wrote:So I have Mercenaries 2 on both PC and PS3. Solano goes into hiding, to avoid being captured by his enemies.Infuriated by the betrayal, the Mercenary convinces Fiona that they must hunt down and extract revenge on Solano.
They seize control of Solano's palace, turning it into a base of operations and establishing their own independent. The Mercenary learns soon after that Blanco is set to have a meeting with several VZ officers, and that Blanco has been acting as an intermediary between Solano and Universal Petroleum. Seeing an opportunity to learn Solano's whereabouts, the Mercenary goes to work for Universal Petroleum in exchange for information. After earning the trust of the mercenaries employed by UP, the Mercenary is introduced to Dr. Lorraine Rubin: the head of UP's Venezuelan branch. While normally distrusting of mercenaries, Acosta states that she cannot afford to turn away the Mercenary's help.
She reveals that she knows where Blanco and the VZ officers are set to meet, but cannot spare the manpower to ambush them herself. In exchange for the information, the Mercenary completes contracts for the PLAV: first liberating the city of from VZ occupation.In-between contracts, the Mercenary locates the mechanic on the outskirts of - a woman named Eva Navarro. Hated by the factions of Venezuela, Eva agrees to work for the Mercenary after completing a test drive of a custom. In response, the United States organizes an force to invade Venezuela and restore peace.
Simultaneously, China independently organizes its own force to intervene in Venezuela. Both the AN and Chinese quickly scatter the VZ Army, sending the survivors underground. As tensions rise between the AN and the Chinese, the Mercenary sees an opportunity to secure the nuclear bunker buster needed to penetrate Solano's bunker. If the Mercenary chooses to work with the AN, they are introduced to Philip Joyce: a agent who is secretly leading the AN mission in Venezuela. The Mercenary is then hired to attack Universal Petroleum's operations in Maracaibo: destroying their headquarters, oil refineries, and the General Carmona Bridge. After completing two contracts for their chosen faction, the Mercenary is given one final task. As the Chinese advance on AN positions in the city of Caracas, the Mercenary is directed to aid their faction in the battle and to verify the opposing faction's commander - either Agent Joyce or General Peng.
After the Battle of Caracas has ended, the Mercenary meets with their faction leader to acquire the nuclear bunker buster promised. Agent Joyce initially will attempt to double-cross the Mercenary, citing 'red tape' and refusing to hand over the nuclear bunker buster; General Peng will always give the nuclear bunker buster with no hesitation.Solano interrupts the meeting by attacking the victorious faction's headquarters with a nuclear weapon, acquired earlier from the North Koreans. The faction leader is then ordered by his superiors to pull out of Venezuela to prevent further attacks, forcing them to bestow the Mercenary with the nuclear bunker buster. The Mercenary immediately travels to Solano's bunker, forcing their way inside using the nuclear bunker buster. Fighting past waves of VZ soldiers, the Mercenary finds Solano attempting to escape in a attack helicopter.
They hijack their way into the helicopter, holding Solano at gunpoint while it spins out of control. If the Mercenary has not captured all High-Value Targets alive, they will then jump out of the helicopter as it crashes - allowing Solano to die in the explosion. If the Mercenary has captured all High-Value Targets alive, they will knock Solano unconscious and rescue them from the crash. The Mercenary then contacts their faction leader, offering Solano alive as a bounty. With Solano verified, the Mercenary returns to the palace and announces that the PMC can now leave Venezuela. Fiona suggests going to for their next contract, to which the Mercenary replies that they like the suggestion - as long as they're paid in advance.Marketing and release In preparation for the release of Mercenaries 2, Electronic Arts opened a commercial campaign in August 2008, with scenes of the plot of the game in a stylized world, featuring background music reminiscent of a 'hip-hop musical' singing about how the protagonists are going to get revenge for being double crossed and getting no pay to boot.
